Welcome!

Picture
Hello and thank you for visiting my webpage! My name is Amber Tischler and I am the founder of Adcat Designs. I have always been passionate about doing things that involve using my hands and my creativity, whether it's through making cat toys and tunnels or designing websites, decals, logos and t-shirts. I graduated magna cum laude with a degree in business management and am working toward completing my degree in graphic design. I am blessed to work full-time for Progressive Insurance, but am most passionate about using my skill-set to help animals in need. As part of of my efforts to help animals, I am proud to say that I have been donating 25% or more of every dollar spent in my shop to 501(c)(3) non-profit rescues since opening in 2015. I made the difficult decision to close my shop in 2022, but hope to reopen it someday.

In my personal time, I devote myself to the following rescues/projects:
  • Graphic Development Director for Ohio Paws with Purpose (formerly Willowick Pet Food Pantry)
  • Graphic, Marketing, Data and Public Relations Director for Forever Friends Foundation
  • Creating ad hoc t-shirt and other designs to benefit various non-profit animal rescues

Others may offer similar services, but my passion for helping animals in need is unparalleled and few care as deeply about animal rescue and helping non-profit organizations as I do!

On a personal note...

I grew up with cats and came by my love of them honestly. After I lost my childhood cat Friskie, I was so devastated that I said I'd never have another. That was, until I saw Care Bear several years later. I found her up for adoption in a bird shop in Willoughby, OH. She is now 19 years old and full of attitude!

Grace is my tortoiseshell vision-impaired, wobbly soul kitty.  She was declawed by her previous family and was found wandering the streets, emaciated and scared. I saw her posted on Facebook and adopted her from Wyandotte, MI. She's about 11 years old now and is full of attitude and snuggles.

Butters was a street cat that was too friendly to stay outside. I adopted him, Luna and Piper all from Forever Friends Foundation. Butters is approximately 8 years old, FIV+ and is an absolute love bug who enjoys belly rubs and being held like a baby.

At 2 days old Piper came in to Forever Friends Foundation and was bottle fed until she grew strong. I adopted her as a kitten and she has been an amazing addition to the family. She is almost 3 years old now and is too smart for my own good. Piper loves to sleep in my arms or draped across my shoulders and enjoys a rousing game of fetch with me every day.

Luna was a stray/garage cat who was sold to a family under the guise that she was a kitten (she's very small). The resident cat in the home didn't accept her within the first week and the family planned to put her down. I offered to take her and foster her until we found her a good home. We found out she's at least 8 years old, FIV+ and had never been spayed. Forever Friends took care of her spay and during her stay here I fell in love. I call her my rocket-fueled chinchilla because her fur is super thick and she never stops moving, unless it's to snuggle.

All of my kids are medically needy in various ways, but that's okay, I love them just as they are! I'm blessed to be able to work from home with them and they make my heart happy, every single day.
